Cut fats lose fat?!


Right? Not nearly close. Fat had a bad wrap within the fitness/weightloss community.

Although mistaken from its name the actual reference for dietary fats or compounds of fartty acids is lipids.

Though heavy in calories they play a vital role in the human body. Cutting weight or not. Here are some vital functions fat plays a part in regarding the human body.

1️⃣ Provide energy.

2️⃣ Insulate against temperature.

3️⃣ Protect against shock.

4️⃣ Participate in cell signaling.

5️⃣ Provide structural material for cell membranes.

These are just a few, without diving into the importance of Omega fatty acids.

So no cutting fat out of your diet entirely will probably not help you shed fat off of your body.

Not knowing the role of food and its importance in your diet can be detrimental to your own progress and health.

As with any macronutrient the consumption of fat in excess can lead to increases in body fat levels. Based on a 2000 calorie diet an individual can consume between 20-35% of calories(400-700)calories a day from fat.

There is no cookie cutter answer to how much to eat to reach your goals.
